We’re committed to welcoming everyone in our community and ensuring that economic circumstances are not obstacles to connecting with wildlife.

Through our Wild Access program, we offer discounted daytime admission tickets ($6) or annual memberships ($45) to individuals and families who live in Washington state and participate in one of the eligible programs below.

Discounted Daytime Tickets

Wild Access daytime admission tickets are $6. Qualifying adults can buy up to 6 daytime admission tickets for themselves and their legal dependents (ages 3-18) on each visit.  See Frequently Asked Questions below to learn more.

Discounted Annual Memberships

Wild Access annual memberships are $45. The membership covers the qualifying adult and their legal dependents ages 3-18 plus one additional adult.

This membership must be used by the adult who participates in one of the eligible programs. You cannot transfer or gift your membership to another person. See the Frequently Asked Questions below to learn more.

Buying Discounted Tickets or Memberships

You must buy your Wild Access discounted tickets or memberships in person at our admissions window.

  • Show your Washington photo identification card
  • Show documentation that you currently participate in one of the eligible programs

Who can buy discounted tickets?

To be eligible, you must live in Washington state and participate in foster/kinship care, Washington Quest EBT or the WIC nutrition program.

How do I buy discounted tickets?

Visit our admissions window. Show our staff your Washington state photo identification card and documentation that you participate in one of the eligible programs: Foster/kinship care, Washington Quest EBT or WIC nutrition program.

Note: Wild Access tickets are for daytime admission only and must be purchased in person at Northwest Trek. Wild Access discounts cannot be combined with other offers or promotions and cannot be used for special programs.

How many discounted tickets can I buy?

You can buy up to 6 daytime tickets each time you visit Northwest Trek for yourself and your legal dependents (ages 3-18).

If you need to buy more than 6 tickets or buy tickets for guests not covered under our Wild Access program, you will pay the general admission price for those additional tickets.

Can other people use my Washington Quest EBT card or WIC Folder to buy discounted tickets? Can I buy the tickets and give them to a friend?

No. You must be present at Northwest Trek and show your Washington state photo identification card and documentation that you currently participate in one of the eligible programs.

What is considered acceptable documentation?

You must show your Washington state photo identification card AND one of the documents below:

  • Washington Quest EBT card with your printed name and signature (the signatures on your EBT card and Washington state photo identification card must match)
  • WIC voucher/card or appointment folder with your name
  • DSHS kinship caregiver card
  • DCYF caregiver authorization form
  • Foster caregiver license certificate or identification card

If you do not have the required documentation, you will not be able to buy discounted admission tickets.

What is the age of dependent children?

For our purposes, dependent children are defined as your legal dependents who are age 18 and younger. Individuals over age 18 who participate in an eligible program will need to bring their own documentation and photo identification.

Can I apply the money I paid for my Wild Access tickets to a Wild Access membership?

Yes, you can apply your Wild Access ticket purchase to a Wild Access membership on the day of your visit. You cannot apply ticket purchases from previous visits to your membership purchase. Please talk with a staff member at our membership booth to learn more.

What does my Wild Access membership include?

Your Wild Access membership includes unlimited daytime admission to Northwest Trek for a full year, invitations to member-only events, and discounts at the gift shop and café. Learn more about the benefits of membership.

If I already have a membership, can I be reimbursed for the difference in cost?

No. The Wild Access discount cannot be applied retroactively to previous purchases of memberships or tickets.
